Educators Conference

Engagement + Inspiration = Empowerment

The two largest associations representing science and math educators across Illinois are again combing resources to organize a dynamic conference to promote quality instruction within and across our disciplines.

  We invite science, math and general education vendors and supporters               to work with us to share innovative professional development,                       instructional materials and supplies and related opportunities                                     aimed at excellence in teaching designed                                     to Engage and Inspire Students as they become Empowered Learners. 

Exhibit setup is scheduled for 2:00 to 9:00 pm, Thursday, October 18th and 6 am - 10:30 am on Friday. 

Exhibits will be open on Friday from 10:30 am until 5:30 pm and & Saturday from 8 am until noon.

All Commercial and Non-Commercial Exhibit fees include: 2 representative registrations including Friday lunch & 2 continental breakfasts and ISTA non-voting membership. 

For each 10’ booth we include:
1-6’ table, 2 chairs, carpet, waste basket, signage. 

The first representative's registration is included within exhibitor registration. Please register up to one (1) additional guest (guest 1) for FREE for commercial and non-commercial exhibitors. Two (2) additional guests may register for FREE for those choosing either the SPONSOR, PATRON, or FRIEND of SCIENCE EDUCATION sponsorships within the same exhibitor registration. 

Any additional guests over the allowed amount will be removed.

Additional representatives or attendees over the allowed amount may register through the participant/attendee registration at $150 each or $195 each after Oct. 1, 2018.

All exhibitors and supporters are asked to provide raffle items.  When requested, donors who provide materials or services with a retail value of $200 or more will be provided a 30 second announcement or commercial during the Friday and/or Saturday afternoon raffles. 
Raffle donors are recognized in the conference packet.

Supplemental Furnishings & Services

TPCC exhibits are on the carpeted ground floor and there are free parking and WIFI. TPCC is the show decorator providing a full range of conference services such as electrical service, freight handling, and extra tables.  You will receive their services kit featuring substantial pre-show discounts after we receive your online registration and payment.  

Additional ISTA services

Following receipt of your online registration and payment, ISTA will provide an exhibit preferences request, hotel information, exhibit setup information, etc.  We request names of your representatives using the online registration for name tags, which must be worn to enter the conference.  ISTA communication will be through your company contact person from the exhibitor registration process unless you provide other information.

All registrations must be paid by the last week in September or your space will be assigned to another vendor. Cancellations after October 1st may result in a cancellation fee of one-half the registration fee.


The conference hotel is Tinley Park Holiday Inn. This hotel offers direct access to the Conference Center and free parking for all guests. To reserve your room at the special conference rate of $135 call the hotel's direct line at 708-444-1100. Mention you are attending the ICTM-ISTA Conference. Conference rate available until September 27, 2018.

 ISTA Conference Grant Opportunity

 This fund will provide support to attend the 2018 ISTA Annual Conference (October 19-20)   to teachers in need.

 The following must be fulfilled by September 15, 2018 at 11:59pm:

 - A letter of interest from the applying teacher detailing why conference attendance wouldn't     be possible without this grant (300 words),

 - A statement from the applying teacher explaining how they have worked to improve their   classroom instruction through NGSS implementation (showing examples is a plus) (300   words), and 

 - a letter from your administrator explaining the need for substitute teacher   reimbursement     and their support of the applying teacher to attend the conference.

 Please send all of the above in a single document (MS Word or PDF formats   recommended) to Dr. Bridina Lemmer at  Late   applications will not be accepted.  Funds in the amount of $250 (conference registration   and substitute teacher stipend) will be distributed as reimbursement to the applicant's   school district after they have attended the conference on October 19th and/or October   20th.  

Ronald and Charleen Crean raised two sons, both of whom are teachers.  They were 

always dedicated to the education of young people and found it important to support 

teachers everywhere.  This fund will be used to support science teachers via attendance 

at the annual ISTA Conference.  This aligns with the ISTA mission to provide professional 

support to Illinois teachers so they may provide excellence in science education to Illinois 

students state-wide.
