Illinois Science Education Conference: Laying the Foundation for Success

CONFERENCE OVERVIEW
What a great time to teach science with exciting standards supporting real student learning. This years conference is jointly sponsored with the Illinois Council for Teachers of Mathematics (ICTM). The partnership allows ISTA and ICTM to provide an expanded program while promoting the need to support the integrated construction of knowledge. Some program highlights included:
- Lunch speaker - Dr. Seth Darling - Argone National Laboratory -- Center for Nanoscale Materials
- Special 2-hour NGSS focus session Friday afternoon
- Over 200 hundred sessions covering a broad array of current topics. Many sessions of interest to both science and math teachers.
- Friday Dinner - buffet dinner followed by movie night utilizing materials from this event's sponsor - the Howard Hughes Medical Institute - free materials too!

The confirmation of registration you receive via email serves as either your receipt or bill. Check out the new group program below before registering.
Cancellations: Registrations canceled after September 23rd will incur a $50 fee regardless of whether payment has been received.
NEW: District Group Discount
With the hope of providing more teachers the opportunity to attend our joint conference, ISTA and ICTM have agreed to a new discount program. If your district sends 5 or more teachers combined for math or science the two-day conference fee will be reduced by $25 dollars per registrant. To take advantage of this special savings contact Bob Wolffe at rjwolffe@bradley.edu. He will send you the the registration form to be used for groups. The same form will be used for all registrants regardless of discipline. DO NOT register on-line as an individual using this site if you plan to use the group option.
If your school or school district is paying for 4 or less people to attend, each person must be registered individually and a receipt or bill will be sent via email as each registration is completed. A single payment can then be sent for the entire group and each invoice will be recorded as paid upon receipt of payment.

Exhibits will be open Friday 8:00 am - 4:00 and Saturday from 8:00 am – noon
