With the hope of providing more teachers the opportunity to attend our joint conference, ISTA offers a school system discount program. If your district sends 5 or more teachers at the two-day conference fee, each person's registration will be reduced by $25 dollars. To take advantage of this special savings contact Bob Wolffe at He will send you the the group registration form. The same form will be used for all registrants regardless of discipline or grade level. DO NOT register on-line as an individual using this site if you plan to use the group option.

If your school or school district is paying for 4 or less people to attend, each person must be registered individually and a receipt or bill will be sent via email as each registration is completed. A single payment can then be sent for the entire group and each invoice will be recorded as paid upon receipt of payment.

 ISTA Conference Grant Opportunity

This fund will provide support to attend the 2018 ISTA Annual Conference (October 19-20)   to teachers in need.

The following must be fulfilled by September 15, 2018 at 11:59pm:

 - A letter of interest from the applying teacher detailing why conference attendance wouldn't     be possible without this grant (300 words),

 - A statement from the applying teacher explaining how they have worked to improve their   classroom instruction through NGSS implementation (showing examples is a plus) (300   words), and

 - a letter from your administrator explaining the need for substitute teacher   reimbursement     and their support of the applying teacher to attend the conference.

Please send all of the above in a single document (MS Word or PDF formats   recommended) to Dr. Bridina Lemmer at  Late   applications will not be accepted.  Funds in the amount of $250 (conference registration   and substitute teacher stipend) will be distributed as reimbursement to the applicant's   school district after they have attended the conference on October 19th and/or October   20th.

Ronald and Charleen Crean raised two sons, both of whom are teachers.  They were

always dedicated to the education of young people and found it important to support

teachers everywhere.  This fund will be used to support science teachers via attendance

at the annual ISTA Conference.  This aligns with the ISTA mission to provide professional

support to Illinois teachers so they may provide excellence in science education to Illinois

students state-wide.
